The US-based Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR) is pioneering animated video for its investigative journalism.
Its latest production, Inside the Office of Missing Migrant Children, dramatizes the Trump administration’s policy of separating families trying to enter the USA. The animation and point of view are based on the real-life experiences of Guatemalan migrant Tonita and her six-year-old son, Wilson.
