Theatrical storytelling via audience mobiles in User Not Found

At the Edinburgh Fringe, User Not Found makes use of a newly intimate form of storytelling via mobile phones given to the audience.

Performed in a café, the one-actor show begins with as Terry (Terry O’Donovan) gets a text, and the audience’s phones vibrate. Terry’s ex-boyfriend Luka has passed away. Using live technology, the audience sees the screen of Terry’s phone. Having been named Luka’s online legacy executor, Terry has to choose what to keep or delete Luka’s digital presence, in an exploration of intimacy and loneliness.
